I have African american type hair that comes down to the bottom of my neck. I usually wear it in a low bun or out with bangs. Are there any other hairstyles i can wear without getting it cut or layered.

Wow this is really hard to explain by writing... but anyway... try curling it very lightly (not too curvy) or how about a half way pony tail with some hair down and some hair up? Having bangs will help you in discovering more hair styles because its the in thing, especially side bangs in particular

You may be able to pull it into a French twist or maybe a half-up half-down style where you pull the front back and secure with a barrette or hair-sticks. A French braid might work, too. Good luck!

There are so many answers to your question but i don't know what to say. I can't see you so i don't know what will suit you. If you are so against cutting it or layering it and you are stuck for other things to do with it then you can still visit a salon and ask them to suggest you a style or two. Watch carefully and ask them to tell you what you need to do to repeat it. Good products can make u huge difference too by allowing you to finish the same style in many different ways.
Good luck.
