My beadboard says you can install it with panel adhesive, but it is not sticking. We ruined one piece by nailing it to keep it up. We used Liquid Nails panel adhesive. It is installing on the sheet rock. Is there something better we can use? Better than the Liquid Nails?

My first recommendation is to make sure both surfaces are clean and completely free of dust. LN Panel Adhesive sticks like mad so there must be an obvious reason it isn't working for you. In the past, I've primed the drywall before gluing to it. The contact cement idea is good but it is a bit awkward. Finally, whenever I install wainscot, I use both nails and glue. Good Luck.

You could use a contact adhesive. you would apply a layer to both surfaces, (the back of the paneling and the wall) allow it to dry for about 10-15 min and once the two surfaces make contact that is it, it's stuck. However this doesn't leave much room for mistakes or adjustment.
