Are way over the top. I used to live in Singapore & my husband's company were planning a party on the fun island of Sentosa, so they sent thier H&S to do a risk assessment first. They were checking to see if there were any coconuts on the trees that might fall off & crack someone on the skull - I kid you not.

risk assessments are quite simple a lot of common sense is needed when completing one. look at what you are doing and what are the risk of accident or injury to anyone in doing it or anyone who is in the vicinity, anything that could cause a trip or fall or injury whilst completing a task.
