Yes, the biggest throw-away line in the bible: that fraction of Genesis 1:16 "he made the stars also."

From an Earth-centred perspective, the sun and moon are the big things. Whole rafts of galaxies we really have only known about for 100 years (100 billion galaxies is the current rough estimate) and also that our own Milky Way galaxy contains about two hundred billion stars.

Nobody understands why God made us and everything else. He is perfect and needs nobody. He has everything he needs. I mean if he wanted too. He could start all over right now. Destroy us all and start over. See when saved sinners or christians get their new body that God has promised. We will need to reproduce. The population of saved humans will not decrease nor increase. I do not even know if God would even allow people to colonize with their new body, not that we would need too. I wonder about this. Why have dreams and desires in the human mind that is not sinful. Why have them if we can not take them with us to heaven? I am sure he has a reason for everything. Just do not know what it is. Everyone has questions.

What makes you assume that God created things just for his creatures? God is an artist; he wants to look at pretty stuff too.

There are loads of galaxies ... its mind-blowing thinking of the numbers. Does make you wonder if there is life in other star systems. Statistically likely, one would hypothesise, given how many there are.
