it's supposed to end in gry... unless you're dyslexic, energy ends in rgy, not gry.

See you've asked the question wrong or else the answer would be language. It's supposed to say that there's 2 words than end in gry and they're "angry" and "hungry." Then say what is the third in the english language. As you formed it, it sounds as if we're supposed to find another word that ends in gry because you said there's 3 that end in gry, but that's wrong because because there's only the 2.

for those who don't understand why the answer is language... the question says "There are three words in 'the English language'" (just ignore the part about the gry, it's a red herring), then asks "I've given you the third word. What is it?" The answer's language because it's the third word in "the English langauge." That's why I said the answer is phrased wrong... because it doesn't give you the opportunity to figure out that you're supposed to look at that phrase and it even goes on to ask "____gry?" It should say something more like "Angry and Hungry are two words than end in gry. There are three in 'the English language.' What is the third word?" I think it would make more sense that way.

Answer: "language".
This puzzle has circulated widely on the Internet for some years, but usually in an abbreviated form such as "Name three common English words ending in 'gry'", which has no good third answer.
