The book that WE call the bible is 2/3 of their book which is called the Qu'ran! Just as if Judaism is based on the old testement and christianity is based or the old testiment AND the new testement. Well, the Qu'ran is just a bible with an extra chapter- the book of mohammed.
Muslim people, just like christian and jewish people have different levels to their religions. AS some christian people WOULD have pre marital sex despite the fact the bible tells them not to- other christians would not. Its the same thing with islam. Some of the more modern muslims WOULD work in an abortion clinic where others would not. It all depends on the person. And not all people from one specific group are the same.

Muslims believe in the Bible. Read the Quran, it makes many, many references to the Bible. The way that the Quran is written is with the assumption that people already have an understanding of the Bible. It specifies "refer to what Moses brought down from Mt. Sinai" yet never actually lists out the 10 Commandments. Where do Muslims get this information? From the Bible.
The only difference is that they believe that Jesus was not literally the son of God, but that it is figurative. Jesus also made reference to God being "your father" and "our father" in the gospels. In fact, he did so more often than he said "my father." Jesus is seen as a prophet, a son of God in the way Abraham is referred to as the son of God in the Hebrew texts.
Most Muslims I know own a copy of the Bible. I don't know any that haven't at least read it.

I dont think that theres anything wrong with reading the bible. I read it before so i could compare Christianity with Islam (im muslim). It was interesting. If you want to know about another religion, the best way is to read their holy book.
PS. Why do some people have to have such long answers?

The Muslims worship the same god as Jews and Christians. Isaiah, and Jesus are prophets just like Mohamed. The claim to fame is that as he is the most recent so his newer laws must be followed by all.

Muslims believe in the Gospel and the torah and Psalms but taht they are corrupt and the original message has been lsot to the ages. So i suppose it would be ok for them to read it, but not take it really seriously.

"Say: we believe in God and in what has been revealed to us, and what was revealed to Abraham, Isma'il: Isaac, Jacob and The Tribes, and in (the Books) given to Moses, Jesus and the Prophets, from their Lord: We make no distinction between one and another, among them, and to God do we bow our will (in Islam)." (Qur'an, Al-Imran 3:84)

Muslims read the Bible all the time so they can pick it apart to justify the Qu'ran.
