I am asking out this girl on a date, say we go to the movies, or bowling or something, do I pay for her? Is it bad if I don't?

Yes, I agree with all the other answers so far. Pay. I'm not forcing you to, but unless you talk to her right at the start, or before you go out, and tell her that you would like to go dutch (each of you pay your half) and give her a good reason, then she'll expect you to pay. I don't agree that if she doesn't offer to pay half, or doesn't reach for her wallet or the bill at the end, then she's a gold digger. So not true. But she should at least thank you and say she appreciates you paying for the date. If she doesn't, there's something wrong. Girls like guys who are a gentleman, and paying for a date is the #1 thing you can do to show her that you are one.

Gentlemen pay for girls when they take them out. at least on the first date. Its not bad if you dont but if i were her i wouldnt go out on a second date if the guy didnt pay the first time

yes u must pay for the date ,unless she ask to . and in the case where she ask to pay, u should insist on paying.u dont want the girl to think u r cheap,do u?.after dating for a while it will then be ok for her to pay for the date.

Depends on the girl. some girls like to be independent and pay for themselves. But given the opportunity, most will allow you to pay.
I would pay for the first date. If the girl gives you static (that she wants to pya, etc.) just tell her you will pay for this (whatever you are doing) and she can pay next time or the next thing.

It is amazingly bad if you don't. The sad truth to dating is the guy always pays for the girl unless she asked him. End of story, no exceptions.

Offer to. And on the second date, and the third, and the fourth... Always offer. If she doesn't pay by the third date, get rid of her because she's digging.

General policy is if you ask, you pay. Once the relationship is established, then yall can split but for now definitely pay.
