The average persons hair grows approximately 1/4-1/2 an inch every month depending on several factors. Such as nutritional intake, health and hormones. Also hair does tend to grow faster in the summer months. Of course this varies from person to person, some people may have very rapidly growing hair, and others may just be prone to slower hair growth. But from my experience and education i would say that 1/2-1/4 is average.

i had always heard it was a 1/4 of an inch each month. who measures this stuff???? that i dont know. i'm too busy keeping track of my nail growth. ha
