Just bare through it...you've done it this long. After she leaves make her understand she can't come back. Good luck

Oh my friend the horrors of the stepchildren syndrome.I love mine but they just seemed to reek havoc on my relationship with their dad I thought they would NEVER grow up and move out but now they are gone and things are fantastic here at the house .If it's only two months it's probly not worth stirring up a stink. If she wants to become a cop she might need to reconsider her choice because in most states if you have or have had bad credit they will not hire you.I don't know what state you are in but you may want to call your local police dept and ask.Hold on two months ain't that long just think she could be 9 again.

I would just flat out say to her: Do you know where my video rental card is? If she shrugs and says no clue without checking her wallet then bam you caught her in a lie and you can call her on it. I have a brother like this and my step-mom called him on it all the time...so much that he doesn't touch ANYTHING that's hers without asking...not to mention he got a lot heat from my dad as well. Just make sure your spouse (her parent) will also be in your corner and supportive of your decision otherwise it may not work as well. If you don't call her on it, she won't stop and will assume she can get away with things like that. Best of luck!

confront her and say, im not mad, but i dont like the idea of you going through my wallet for any reason at all. If you need to borrow the video card please ask me, otherwise get your own. They dont cost anything, and if the bankruptcy causes bad credit all she would have to do is maybe pay a deposit to the movie store in case she doesnt bring a movie back.
But dont do it angrily, you are both adults and should both be able to have an adult conversation with eachother

At least all she took was your video card, she could have taken your credit cards and cash. Give her the benefit of the doubt, and be glad that she's leaving in 2 months.

you know what? its your house. your rules. If she doesn't like them, then she go somewhere else and make the rules herself. but as for the time being, tell her that she is unappreciative of your help and give her an ultimatum. sorry if im not much help. theres no perfect anwer here.
