Duh??? If you are baptized into the Christian church and it is done in a Baptist church.. that makes you a member of the Baptist church too.
You are from the South, aren't you?

Well, baptism is just a sign for other believers that you've accepted salvation.

Are you a member of another church? If so, why do you want to be baptized in a different one? If this was the case, I think I'd rather be baptized in front of people I have a connection and commitment to.

If you're NOT a member of another church, why are you opposed to joining the one you wish to be baptized in? Every Christian has the responsibility to join and fellowship in a church. If you don't wish to join this church, hold off on the baptism until God shows you the right place.

Feel free to E-mail me if you'd like to talk more about it. You've kinda got me curious.
