My sons dog had seven puppies. I have taken care of them since they were born. He insists that he is going to take them to the pound on Friday because we have not found homes for them. I am very distressed. They are part hunting dog and chocalate lab. It was an accident because she got out and mated before he caught her. I need your advice. we all know what will be their fate at the pound. What can I do. It makes me very sad I love these sweet little ones. Please help.

you do not have to give them to the pound. you can let them know that you have puppies you would like to give to perspective adoptee's. Also while you are there pick up the form for discounted spaying for your female. Really puppies do go quickly to good homes at the pound. and they pay for all the shots and spay and neutring. so the dogs will not reproduce. It is the older dogs that do not go quick. and get put to sleep. If you have not taken the pups to the vet yet you have not done a good job. they have needed two shots and deworming that have been missed.

Put adds and posters up in the around the county or state paper and they will be sold quickly or if you can just give them away pease dont give them to the pound mabye try pets mart they sometimes help out with that.

make up some flyers and put them up at every vet office in a 5-10 mile radius. Also try the aspca if you have one in your state they will help you to find homes or take them to their no kill shelter and find good homes for them. Place ads in your local paper which are usually free anyways. Do not place afree to good home ad since this usually attracts hoarders. Good Luck
