I've started out with eating a balanced diet, such as chicken, fruit, vegetables, and more. I can admit that I"ve cheated with eating "snack food" but not alot. I then have done like 5 or 6 hundred situps a day, and I've ran on a treadmill a few times, I've just started weight lifting and drinking some green tea. All and all I'm not too sure what I'm doing wrong. I weigh about 250 and I'm about 6'0'' tall, and I'm 18.

If you've done 500-600 situps a day, you would have abs of steel. You're off to a good start-eating a balanced diet of fruits, veggies, protein is good. Don't try to cut out all the snack foods, is that what you did ? Did you go cold turkey? That may be why you are eating more 'snack' foods than you want to be.
Keep going. Weight training may (Suprisingly) add weight at first, because muscle weighs more than fat. With muscles, you have the ability to burn 40 more calories a day per one pound of muscle you gain. That's just by sitting around doing nothing. Imagine how many more calories you would burn a day just by sitting around if you had six pounds of muscle, you would be burning 240 calories a day just by sitting around!
If you want to lose weight then I would suggest making small goals and not expecting to lose weight overnight. It simply doesn't work that way. There are about 3,500 calories in one pound of fat. Write down everything you eat and see what you're working with here. It's all about calories in vs. calories out. Make sure you are burning more calories then you are taking in, and you will lose weight, it's that simple.
Figure out your triggers, why you eat certain foods and why you crave them. Read up on why you crave foods (You may crave chocolate because your body needs magnesium). Listen to your body.
Exercising will surely make things easy. Exercising controls appetite. Keep up what you are doing, and make sure you are doing the exercises right. You can do 500 situps a day, but if you aren't doing them right, it won't matter. Keep using the treadmill and keep lifting weights, it all takes time. Have some fun, too, and get all the advice you can. It just takes time.
Good luck, I know you can do it.

Started eating a balanced diet, STARTED lifting, been on the treadmill a FEW times?
Those are things you need to do regularly, DAILY, for several months to lose weight. Its not a magic spell. Hocus pocus, treadmill, weights, veggies, POOF you're skinny.

I suggest that you try body cleansing. I tried it and really got lean quickly. I lost 15 pounds in 9 days and also 3 inches off my waist. I do body sculpting so getting leaner was my goal. My sister did this program too and she lost a lot of weight quickly. I did not know too much about cleansing but there are a lot of TV commercials about this stuff. This is a body cleanse and not just a colon cleanse, I wanted my body to get lean quickly and this did the trick!
