"Maybe you are 'just' your body and your mind was lost?"

I have no idea, other that it's popular thought. Obviously they haven't ever questioned it. I wish that more people would. Even if the body betrays us, and the mind loses its functions, we still exist.

Well, I am my body and mind. That is the package that is here, together, as one. Not sure what you are getting at. Maybe you are just your body and your mind was lost? Or the other way around? I am just going to back away slowly from you and I will not make any sudden movements.

The ancient greeks actually debated one time as to where thought originated from. Some felt it came from the head, others said it came from the heart. There even some who believed that it came from the stomach.

I think that since we know a lot about neurology and the functions of the brain that thought resides in the brain. I know, it is a far fetched idea, but maybe it will gain more acceptance in the future.

We're not our body. We are a product of our minds though.

I think people are confused so I'll explain.

If you cut my arm or leg off I am still me. If you cut my face off I'm still me.

If you take my brain out there wont me much me left will there....
