I need some ideas on what color to paint my front door. My roof is greyish/black, siding is tan, trim and windows are white, and shutters are black. The door is wooden with a cherry stain currently but doesn't blend well. Need new ideas?

I would go with a 'match' to any of your other colors outside... or a contrast of a deep red... you can get your door painted at the local 'car repainting' place.. and they do an awesome job, it is smooth and professional, for not a whole lot of money!

Because you already have shutters, the ONLY option is to go black. Black is also the untapped neutral.

Another tip: use black (not brown or red) mulch in landscaping to make those shutters and door pop! You'll love it :)- very magazine-esque!

Dark teal blue door; I know it sounds nuts, but it is gorgeous and makes the house pop. Good luck in your venture, sounds like an exciting time in your world!
