What works for others may not work for you. Partying, drinking, and working at bars is my thing. I am a bartender and avid drinker, and that is MY REALITY. So don't ever blast someone's life like that. How would you like it, if I said something like that about your reality? Exactly.

On to your question, yes it is quite easy to have fun without a buzz. But, have you ever had fun while drunk? Yeah, it is a guaranteed good time. You're also 50% (not an actual stat) more likely to get laid, and you will always forget what bothered you during the day.

The attraction of drinking is the guaranteed fun, the lowered inhabitions, and the multitudes of conversations you're only going to vaguley remember the next day (but you still feel even closer to those you had the conversations with). It is a fun loving, free minded, and bond-building experience. I wouldn't trade my life for anyone's.

It allows people to let loose more than they normally would if they weren't drinking. You just want to have fun and have a good time after a long week of classes/work.

In college, a lot of times you just go out to get drunk because thats what everyone is doing. A lot of times you drink stuff that you don't even like to get wasted.

I agree with you .but....from someone who did quite a bit of partying in the past I can say that a buzz lets you laugh a little more, relax and let down your hair.......and then you feel like a complete idiot the next day....

People like the feeling of less inhabition... I think some people use it as an excuse to do things they wouldn't normally do sober. Drinking is a social past time.

i drink because every society everywhrere throughout the history of mankind has found a way to get drunk. alcohol is instinct. you wouldn't want to go against thousands of years of worldwide collected wisdom, would you? i also drink because it simultaneously makes women more attractive and makes me feel better about feeling attracted to ugly women. good for them. good for me. everybody wins with booze.

It helps reduce inhibitions, and allow you to share the vibe with others.
