i know that ms dos comes with my pc but how can i open it?

start->run->cmd

Not "really" dos, but its a command line just the same with mostly the same features.

DOS is the underlayment of the Windows OS. You do not say which OS you are running, so I will go out on a limb and assume XP. DOS cannot be "run" in the normal sense, but you can access the commands from a command box. Click on Start then run, and type cmd and press ENTER, you can run some DOS commands from ehre, the rest can only be run from the recovery console.

I assume you atleast use Windows XP.
Start | Run | type "cmd" | click "OK"

If it is on dead technology operating systems (i.e. Win2000 ) you need to type "command" instead.

Go to "Start"
Then click on "Run"
Type in "command" and press "ok"
