Wow... thank you, Church Lady! Thank you for freeing me of my cumbersome rationality! Now I can arrive at conclusions based on a truly valid epistemological procedure: faith!

Sorry,, I know the holy dung and the accusation of evil and my incompetence to understand God, Jesus, all the hocuspocus, fancy robes, rituals, smoke and incense.
I would bet, you auction off the Popes outfit he has for Christmas would fetch enough $$ to feed the refuge camp in Darfur with fine food for at least one day maybe a week. (it is worth 10ks)
Creationists have got to be in denial or are ignorant or indigent to facts. Books that were written by men, rewritten by Kings and politicians, even a few cowboys in Utah, or some disgruntled priest, twisted to conform to the culture of the past now becomes the doctrine of the faithful fool.
How many enjoy the sci-fy stuff and scoff at the fossils

Allow me to do my best to dispell ( oh crap I used the word spell so I must be a minion of SATAN!!! ) the most common stumbling stone christians have with evolution. Darwin never said, claimed, or even implyed that the human race descended from monkeys. His actual supposition was that we evolved from ape like men. Key word here MEN. He made the inuitive jump that, at the genetic level these early humans carried the DNA that would eventually evolve into modern man. And considering that some of the worlds most heinous crimes happened and were condoned by christians who were just doing what they were told, don't you think this needs to be considered before pointing the finger of weak mindedness?

Evolution although theory now, is generally accepted as fact. Evolution can be seen on a regular basis in species. Evolution IS God's truth, why else should we be able to study the fossil record? God created evolution, and the fossil record, so that when the day came that the race would arise that God had intended to create in his spiritual image, that intelligent race would have the means to discover their natural world and how they came to be. God created, the Universe, Earth, and Evolution to go along with it. Why is Evolution seen as evil? It's a natural, God-given fact, sheesh.

"What kind of a weak-minded belief system depends on evidence and observation? "
Actually, Christinanity does.
We have faith, but it is not a blind faith. Our faith is rooted in facts. Facts that are found in science, archeology, literature, and logic. Christians are called upon to serve God with all our hearts but also with all our minds. We are called upon to test everything against the Scriptures and descern the truth in everything that is said. Unfortunately, there are many Christians who do not do that, but many that do.

Surely requiring evidence implies it isn't a belief system at all but instead a system based on fact.
Come on now, give me a hard question!

Evidence and obervation are gifts from God that feed our faith. Why would you want to get rid of them and be ignorant?

Faith in the invisible becomes invisible when the invisible must become visible to prove he isn't invisible.
