The other answerer's have covered all the types of birth control methods I can think of. But I just wanted to say that whether the woman is taking the pill or not, you should be using a condom EVERY TIME. There are so many bad diseases out there. Don't take the risk. Protect yourself by using a condom.

There are countless means of birth control on the market, but each one is flawed in some way. No "birth control" is fail proof with the exception of abstinence. I would suggest that you talk with your doctor (and if you're a teen who is too worried to do that, then a trusted adult).

The Condom: Its about 97% effective when used properly. It also protects against STD's

The Pill: Its about 99% effective when taken everyday at the same time. It DOES NOT protect against STD's

IUD: Its the same amount of effectiveness as the pill and is something you insert into the vagina. It doesnt protect against STD's

Pull out method: This is about 60% effective and doesnt protect against STD's

Knowing your ovulation time: This is about 90% effective but only if your cycle is always the same and you know it perfectly. Doesnt protect against STD's

Abestince: Not having sex at all. Its 100% effective and protects against STD's
