I fought mine with therapy (Cognitiver Behavioural Therapy) and it worked wonderfully well.

I came off of my medications gradually do to the kind I was taking. I never stopped having them nor my bi-polar symptoms, they just lessened and I had to learn other coping methods. Find yourself the best support system you can, they will be what you rely on most. My son is now 10 months old and my panic attacks are gradually worsening again. I am still breastfeeding and hope to be able to go a while longer yet.

The only way to prevent them is to change certain things in your life. Like a girl i knew always had panic attacks at skool. She changed skool and is fine now. When you have a panic attack use a bag or cup your hands and breath into it to breath in your air again. A doctor may be able to give you some help.

I've been there done that In fact I'm there now. I havent been on medication for a long time now because all oral meds make me sick anymore but I am pregnant and in a stressfull situation that is affecting my mental health as well. I dont know your situation but I'm sure you and your baby will get through this. Just remember that you need to stay calm for your baby ( I KNOW EASIER SAID THAN DONE) like i said I'm there with you. do you have the father's support? stay close to people that will support you and try to keep your mind on happy things. if you need to talk my e-mail and im are in my profile good luck to you and congrats

I was in the same boat, I'm 7 months now and only have slight ones. Just tell yourself it's all mental and you're fine. If you do have one, get to a comfortable place a settle yourself down. I know this is easier said than done but you can do it, if I can anyone can♥ Good luck and Congrats on the baby!

My anxiety levels did go down when I was pregnant.. I think it had something to do with 'peanut" aka my precious bump..lol
but when I did feel some stress coming on, and anxiety levels going up.. I used my baby to calm down.. deep breathing, and sow circular motions on my belly (the bump..lol) They calmed me down... through each pregnancy
Good Luck.

you have to be very careful with that, I went off of meds for a pregnancy, if your doctors know that you are off then you should be ok, just feel free to call them any time, i think that a lot of women are fine during pregnancy, it would be after the pregnancy that I would be watching for any signs of anxiety, etc.

Makes sense to me that being pregnant cures it temporarily due to hormonal changes.

well done for dropping the meds. you can control it as you have currently experienced. buy and read dianetics. your psych cannot help you.
