Probably not.
We Brits operate at 240V (not 110V, as I believe the Americans do) and have three pin plugs, specially designed to make it difficult to stick paperclips in the live and neutral contacts.
You could probably bodge it if you tried hard enough, but I sincerly recommend that you don't.

Depends if it has a switch to conver the current from 110 to 220V - otherwise you may have to buy a transformer and I have never had luck with transformers anyway- You can ususally buy an inexpensive travel hair dryer for about 15.00 at Walgreens that has a dual voltage switch - just need the prong adapter

Only if you buy an international adaptor. The plugs are three-prong and the voltage is different. You can pick one up at the airport upon arrival.
