You need to reassure him that you are with him and the things you have done in the past will not be repeated.

Drop him like a hot box of rocks! Insecurity in a relationship spells nothing but trouble, and a minor insecurity now will lead to major insecurities in the future. Everybody has a past and that's something that just comes with you! It may be rough to drop him now, but when Mr. Right comes along and accepts (and loves) every part of you, you won't have any doubts that this was the right decision. Relationships shouldn't be bothersome and irritating!

I would be sitting him down and telling him straight out...I'm not the same person I was back then......and get over it-bout your previous relationship* or he won't have any relationship with you. You're not going to be "punished.ridaculed..put down, harrassed.." bout your PAST* that's what it is* THE PAST* if he wants to be with you NOW(in the present) and in the future he needs to back off*

i went throught the same thing. tell him that the past is the past and bringing it up is not going to solve anything. he cannot deal with what happened. and you should threaten to leave him if he doesnt get over it. thats what i did. and i was firm in my step, i stopped calling him and when he would come through i told him that we cannot be togehter unless you learn to trust me. well next thing you know he has been trying really hard. and you kinda have to help him out. it can work out. but only if you two are sure that you want to stay together

tell him to either look forward or hit the road, your past is your past and really doesn't concern him,if he insists on doing this find someone that wants to move forward with you.good luck.

Dump him. Being punished for something he doesn't see as "fit" is what parents do to children and owners do to dogs at the time of the error...he has no business judging you.

Someone like that spells abusive in bold, neon, flashy lights.
