Congratulations! As far as putting it in the paper, most list the bride and grooms parents name and city, where the bride and groom went to school, what they do for a living, and when/where the wedding will be. A great start for planning a wedding is theknot.com. You can start a budget, checklist and a wedding website. Good Luck!

I'm not sure what you're asking... but if someone asks you to marry them and you say yes you are "Engaged". This means you plan to marry this person and can start planning a wedding and life together.

erm for one person to propose and the other to accept. A ring isnt necessary staright away and I know a few peeps who never bothered with an engagement ring at all.
