i just had surgery on my sinuses and a rhinoplasti last wednesday, on monday the doctor took out the packing in my nose...i am still having trouble breathing..is this normal?there is a little swelling and i STILL HAVE THE BANDAGES on which are coming off on friday,im using the sinus rinse but i still cant breathe and it kind of burns/itches when breathin thorugh my nose.is this normal?

I had it. It burned when I used it too. I hated the bandages. There is probaly swelling causing you a hard time to breathe. I would call my doctor just to make sure that It isn't getting infected. It is better to be safer than sorry!!!

I know where you are coming from...I had sinus surgery last year and the healing process sucks....Unfortuantely, you won't be able to breath out of your nose for a few weeks...The burning and itching is part of the healing process. But...in the end...it really is worth it :)

you have my complete sympathy. its the worst surgery ever. i had it done 8 weeks ago and im still having problems. i am using a saline nasal spray and anti histamines. i got an infection as well, it took 2 lots of anit biotics to clear it up. apparently it takes a loooong time for it to heal and work normally again.
i wish u a speedy recovery. good luck.
