Every year there is a convention where we all take turns burning each other. In addition, atheists are expected to spend at least 20 min. per week in a vat of molten lava so that we are prepared for an eternity of hellfire.
We also have contests for hottest coal walker, longest time spent in cremation chamber, etc.
There are lots of high-fives.
Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Wiccans, Pagans, Jains, Hindus, Taoists, Shintos, Sikhs, those of Native Americans religions, and all from that other 2/3 of the population that doesn't believe in the Christian God are invited to join us.

Non-Christians do not "Know" they will spend eternity in Hell. So there is nothing to prepare for in that respect. Just because you believe in this, doesn't make it true.
Please read Revelation.... Hell does NOT last forever anyway. Hell is thrown into the Lake of Fire - in other words, it ceases to exist (the smoke of the destruction can be seen forever - it doesn't say anyone lives there forever). It also says "they are Utterly Destroyed" to be utterly destroyed means Nothing is left.
IF there were such a place, a place of eternal torment, then basically EVERYONE will live FOREVER. Just in different places.

When you say "Hell" you must mean the proper interpretation of Hell, which is " the common grave of mankind." This being the case, Hell is also a condition of non-existence. In other words, when you die, you cease to exist. Your only hope is that God remembers you and resurrects you back to life. There is no burning pit where you're tortured forever.
So, for Atheists, and all others, death is not a fun situation, yet all who die do not even know they're dead. How do you prepare for that?

I am a Liberal Christian, used to consider myself Agnostic. I don't quite understand your question, since if someone is Athiest, they by definition don't believe in Heaven or Hell, so why would they need to prepare?
I don't think Athiests will waste their time being concerned with such things when it is not a part of their philosophy.
If your next door neighbour believed that the earth was going to be taken over by little green men who will put all earthlings into slavery in 10 years, but you didn't believe in the little green men, would you be concerned about them coming 10 years from now? Probably not! Same idea.

It's the conflicted one again!
Here's the flaw in your thinking: Atheists do not believe that Unbelievers will spend their eternity in Hell, because atheists do not believe that Hell exists.
You see what you're doing, don't you? You are taking the twisted little tortured world that lives in your head and projecting it onto other people. You might do well to seek professional help.

You know even knowing that there would be tons of answers and it would lower my rating to answer this, I couldn't resist.
That question made me laugh so hard my coworkers are looking at me funny! ROTFLMAO!!
Well last I checked, nonbelievers Jews Mormon Pagans Hindu Buddhist Muslims religions I left out and depending on what church you go to--other denominations of Christians ...oh yes and lets not leave out the Baptist teaching--everyone who dances, drinks and listens to rock n roll will all be in hell with me. Seems like quite a party.
I'll have the author of Harry Potter as well as many other great authors in history that were banned. All the musicians. I'll still hear Jimmi's Starspangled Banner. and still have my margaritas. Sounds like a great time.
Sorry but I refuse to follow the fear technique. If I don't believe, I go to hell. But of course, it seems how you live your life doesn't matter. Being a good person doesn't matter, as long as right before you die you decide to accept christ. And if you believe in pre-destination than you believe that god is up there with his "plan" damning you to hell--and there is nothing you can do about it. Wow seems like I have a better view of god than you. I think he doesn't exist but you think he is evil.
Thats how I prepare myself for judgement day--I question my beliefs. Cause if there is a test--I will know more of the answers than any "what if you are wrong" crutch christian out there.
Frankly, if I could believe in this myth/cult/whatever you wish to call it--I couldn't get over that God would send anyone who questions their beliefs to hell but allow people who brainlessly followed into heaven. I've read more about christianity than most christians. I don't recall Jesus ever saying "Question me and I'll damn you to hell" Must of missed that part.

Atheists do not believe in hell so how could they possibly know they are going to spend a eternity there?
Why would they prepare their selves for something they don't believe?
Love and Peace

I'm saving up enough rum to last for all eternity.
I'd rather be stuck in Hell with intellegent Atheists than up in Heaven with hateful Christians.
Adding "Love and blessings" to your question does not make you a good or loving person.

Wow, a lot of interesting answers. Well, I am a Christian and I cannot judge anyone. We are not perfect, there was and is only One who is and will ever be perfect. I will say I too once struggled in the area of believing. It is unfortuante that everyone that calls themselves a Christian is not, but that is for God to judge them not me. I do love those who hate me, and those who love me. God says to love one another, love your neighbor, love your enemy, to me that love brings about peace to this much needed world. It wasn't until I stop talking and started reading that I found out this Man who is trying to teach us the correct way to live and love, really loves me. When I loved those who hated me, it began to break down barriers that only love could. God is not the author of confusion...........God bless you all. Peace & Love.

What kind of a conceited deity would condemn someone to an eternity of torture for a mere lifetime of unbelief in this confusing world of ours? Your god character is seriously lacking in basic compassion, and therefore he does not deserve worship.
I have absolutely no use for a religion based on fear and guilt.
