Have you ever had pluerisy? I think I have it, but have not seen doc yet. Just started yesterday, pain at bottom of ribs, left side. Today pain is just below breast bone, sharp quick pain with movement; sharp pain breathing; tender to touch. Dry cough, very painful to cough. Sound familiar? I have never had this problem before.

Yeah, hurts like heck. I went to a minor emergency with it. They took xrays and gave me some prescription cough meds if I remember correctly.

It could be pleurisy, or could be something else. But pleurisy is very painful. If your not familiar with it, its a pinhole size opening in the lining of your lung and it allows the lung and the lining to rub together. But if you are having difficulty breathing along with all of this, you definately need to go to the Emergency Room. Treatment for pleurisy is simple as an anti-inflammatory like motrin.
