Okay well my boyfriend and I have been dying to move into this apartment and I just recently found out that his ex-girlfriend of 5 1/2 years lives there too. I know it is possible to live in a seperate building but is it still a good idea?! We have been together for just almost three years now... but 5 1/2 years is long and I am uneasy with ex-girlfriends. Especially when we might live right by her. What do you think? Is it something that we shouldn't do? I just don't want something that is suppose to be good turning into a every day uneasy feeling or fight. Am I right for having second thoughts about this?

You are perfectly within your rights to have second thoughts about moving there. I would not do so, myself.
Instead, explain to your boyfriend that you are uneasy about moving in there and see what he says. If he says he agrees with you and wants to find another place, you're a lucky lady, because he has remained true to you.
On the other hand, if he still wants to move there, think twice about the apartment and him. If you get my drift!

if you dont want to
if you're wondering about what might happend , how often she might visit

try and find a new place that can be the two of yours' place
but move in with him if you feel its right
but maybe just not that building, get him to move in with you if you like your place or are living alone

If it doesn't feel right, than it probably isn't. Always go with that first gut feeling. We regret it later when we ignore ourselves. Good luck finding a different place!

I wouldn't do it unless you want to make it really easy and convenient for him to start seeing her again.
