Me and this guy have liked each other for ages but neither of us says anything directly. He pays loads of nice compliments. He knows that I am leaving my boyfriend and I confide in him about it. He keeps asking if I'm ready for a new relationship and if he's definately an ex now. He really made a big thing of asking this and his eyes were staring into mine the whole time. I feli a bit like I was being interrogated by the police! Well after that he was very flirty and Iovely. He knows I've had a bad time with men treating me badly and illnesses and he is always there to support me. I always tell him hes lovely but I am scared to say how I feel. Is he telling me how he feels subtley or what? Am i thick and not picking up on these signals? Shall I ask him about the interrogation(!) and see if he open up? Please advise me it's driving me mad!!

If you like him as much as you say, you do!! Ask him to be your boyfriend.......he is obviously going GA-GA over you already and always taking care of you.......don't wait unless you are not sure about a relationship with him but it seems like you guys should be fine!!
In my opinion he tried to interrogate you, to find out more about your other relationship because he wanted to know if he had a chance or not!!!

Just go and say something to him. Whats the worst that can happen? He can say no or say he wasn't trying to make you feel that way. I have had a friend like that before and things worked out good. We never ended up together but we talked about everything and it just came to be that we would just stay friends. The only way to find out the truth is to ask. You can't be that thick because you have picked up something from his signs. Just let it be known and see where it goes... that is really the only thing that you can let happen.

Exchange numbers or go out on a lunch date, then simply ask him how he feels about you like: Can you see us being more than friends?, How do you feel about dating? are you just having fun right now or are you looking for something serious? I believe that if you guys are really feeling each other that you should have some deep conversations just to see what he's like, if he's flirting he's definately interested or else why would he care so much about your romantic situation?

The easiest way to find out if he wants a relationship with you also would be to just ask him.
However, if you don't feel like putting yourself out on a limb like that, I would suggest that over the next couple of days/weeks/months give him as many opportunities to hang out with you as possible. If he continues to choose you over other activities, but isn't acting on it really, you need to work up the courage to make the first move.
I would say a good way to get you guys alone together would be to invite him over along with maybe one or two of your other friends so it isn't intially awkward, then have them leave later so it's just you two, then just do whatever feels natural.

hi id b careful he could b just hanging around 2 see if he can get some.if u no what i mean? just breaking up with someone can make u vunerable and open 2 things or people that dont realy care about u they just care about themselves. so u should talk 2 this friend u confide in 2 make sure hes on the level.. girl...just tell him how you feel, if you feel weird or dont want it to ruin yoour friendship then say it joking around, next time he asks you if your ready for a new relationship, tell him " yeah, but only with a guy like you" or say " why , you ready to take me out yet..." or try nope, i got my eye on someone im just waiting on him to make a move" then smile at him. just flirt back so he knows your interested...good luck im sure it will work out, ( but to answer your question....yeah. well in this case, try to go up to him and try your level best to express yourself, or try to write him an e-mail by expressing yourself how do you feel about it. if you are also ready for a new reliationship try to fix with him a date by going out to have dinner or something nice. alhtough he is a police try not to be afraid just think maybe this could be your right, guy for you to start a new reliationship between you and him forget the past try to turn into a new reliationship,but beware before you express yourself find out his background and find out the real person in him from there you could judge whether to start a new realitionship or tosay no.. Forget about trying to decipher his signals, that's what kids do and it's a waste of time. The question you need to ask yourself is do *YOU* have a romantic interest in this guy and if you do, then let him know and see how he responds.
