I have a friend of mine who just flipped out on me Sunday and I found myself wondering today if he's saying mean things to me only to push me away from how he really feels about me. Is this a ridiculous thought?

He might if he doesn't know how to deal with his feelings for you, if he sees you with other guys, he considers you taken, or maybe out of his league, I as a guy have been very upset at seeing a girl I like go out with or hang out with other guys, it makes me seem inferior, and hopeless...hope that helps.

it is possible... but it's also possible that you are thinking too much about him and giving yourself excuses.
If he really has reasons to push you away, i.e. because you already have a bf, or you have some past unpleasant experiences that he knows about, present dilemmas that he cannot handle, or future plans that shows no place for him, then yeah, there might be a slight possibility that he likes you but there's just probably no natural chance that he'd wanna be with you.
But if the coast is clear and he still pushes you away, then, you might want to think about it twice, or just simply push him out of your life for you don't deserve to be treated like that.

It's a possibility. A lot of men like the thrill of the chase. Men are strange creatures and hide their feelings sometimes while others are straight forward with you. Personally I hate games so if a man seems uninterested then I just pretend like I don't care.

If he hasn't apologized for flipping out by Tuesday for something he said on Sunday, chances are he meant what he said. I'd take it at face value and think he's not really in love with you.

do you have a boyfriend did you just get one...if so he's bitter...if you don't have a b/f then he just dosen't know how to express his feelings towards you....
