If Norton/Symantec will not un-install using the Add/Remove programs in the control panel.

Symantec has developed a removal tool that will remove their product.

Go here and download the removal tool http://service1.symantec.com/support/tsg...

Install and run it.

Norton is a hard one to get rid of. What I had to end up doing was using a registry cleaner to get rid of it all. Even after I disabled it and deleted it, pieces of it would still show up. With the registry cleaner, I was able to rid my computer of it.
