I am planning on buying new bulbs for my 1995 Toyota Camry XLE V6. The stock low beams are not very bright at all during nightime driving. So i would like to buy new brighterbulbs, and while i'm at it i'll brighten the high beams too.

My question is, if i buy new bulbs...

Which brand should i go with ( sylvania, hilite, etc. )?

Do i need anything extra in order for the bulbs to work?

Any info would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

There are a lot of good bulb brands out there, sylvania is fine.

Depending on the type of lights you have, you'll need to be careful and not touch the glass part of the bulb, as it can cause damage to the bulb and can cause the bulb to break. If the bulb has a plastic base or metal bands around it, do not touch the glass and to be safe ask the auto parts guy if its a traditional bulb or the gas filled(do not touch glass) kind .

and alot of people have trouble with this, remember how you took the lens, bulb holder and bulb apart, so you are able to put everything back together correctly.

Look in your toyota book. also check your battery. a weakened battery may be the cause.
