It depends on how I feel or am doing. If I am real tense and overthinking on the course, I'll have one beer (It doesn't take much in the summer time in Arizona) just to mellow out a little I find my score is alot better because I am more relaxed. More than one and my game goes south. Then I just want to drink more and do the dumbest thing possible with a golf cart and it all becomes a mess. Different story for a different day.

For some people drinking help lessen the pressure and it may be good for golfing. I went to the driving range and took a couple of beers, and I could hit the ball. I mean I can't stand still and can't see the ball very clearly. Usually I could hit the balls, I mean am a six handicaper.

Well, drinking alcohol during any activity will certainly NOT help you're performance by any means. Unless, it happens to be a beer drinking contest. I think that it will make you 'not care' like you said, in any sport not just golf.

Maybe A (1) will loosen you up a little -- just how loose to you want
to be? I've found that drinking raises cane with your score, and
don't do much for your reputation on the links either.

eventually it will affect your game...depends on the amount and other circumstances...just do not ride home with the 'ol'boy doing all the drinking...a few might relax you...but after a certain point it will start affecting coordination...eye focus...ect...just like operating a vehicle
