I have been praying for my gifts to be revealed so I can use them like God wants me to use them. For the people that know their spiritual gifts; how did you find out? How did you confirm that they were your gifts?

In understanding the will of God, His spiritual gifts are revealed. That's pretty vague, but until you understand what He wants you to do, He won't provide you with the means to do it.

Ones gifts are not hard to find...
Take a piece of paper and draw a line though the center.
On the left side, write down all that you see lacking in the world. What is needed currently? List anything and everything that comes to mind.
On the right side, write down all your skills, abilities, and in particular things you like to do and really enjoy.
Then draw lines between the 2 column...a need in the world and what you have.

If you have spiritual gifts you need not pray for them to be revealed, they reveal themselves in you, in particular if God wants you to use them.

Prayer is only the first step. The next step is DOING. Do the will of God. The things you find you do well in, are in line with your gifts.
