Is it because it will harm the baby or is it something to do with you. I'm a first timer and was just wondering.

It won't harm you or the baby, but pregnant women are very prone to heartburn and spicy foods can make that problem worse.

OMG! Heartburn Central - - LOL

I mean I have NEVER experienced an heartburn b4 until I was pregnant with my now 6 year old son. I believe in the old wives tale that the baby will have lots of hair, or eating spicy food...GUESS WHAT....BOTH r very true.

Tums, Rolaids didn't help me at all..I suffered and still do!!!

I believe there is no cure during pregnancy...lol and if this baby has lots of hair I'm in big trouble the second time around

Most women are sick when they are pregnant. The common thing to tell them is "don't eat spicy food." But spicy food has so many benefits. And societies that eat spicy foods tend to be healthy. So, if your stomach can handle it, eat all the spicy foods you can.

Spicy foods can cause heartburn while your pregnant. That is something that happens when you're pregnant. I have had three children.

It can increase your problems with gas that most women have during pregnancy. It does not hurt the baby

The reason why is because if you breast feed you are giving it to your baby because it goes through everything in your body and if you are breast feeding then it will give it to the baby in the milk and it could get it sick or make it feel sick... hth....
