The length of gestation for dogs is 9 weeks. Your momma dog will begin digging like she's making a warm bed. She will pace and follow the "woman of the house" around. She will have a pathetic look in her eyes like she's beggin for some relief, sort of like when Humans are at the end of pregnancy and just want it out. LOL. My mini-weinnie just had 7 puppies 3 weeks ago. Unfortunately, we lost 5 out of 7. She was 3 1/2 yrs old and this was her first litter. You will notice a drastic change in her normal behavior...she may not be able to walk up or down steps unassisted. I had to carry my momma dog out and then back in. You will also notice a green fluid leaking from her. My dog's water broke as soon as I put her down outside to potty. She didn't push the first pup out for about 4 hours. She started pushing at 10pm and had the last pup at noon the next day. All were breech except #4. After losing 5 babies, we decided to keep the 2 remaining pups. We had all of them given away, then lost our babies, the last one on Valentines Day.

Our babies are Chi-weinnie-weinnie's.....Mom is Mini Daschund, and Dad is Chihuahua-Weinnie Mix.

Term for a dog is around 60 days from conception, but do know that a puppy can be conceived up to 7 days after being bred. Your dog will begin to try to nest (dig at blankets or even carpets), pace, pant, refuse food and have contractions when going into labor. The temperature will also drop to 97-99 degrees up to 48 hours before labor. The temperature drop is a sure sign. Check your calendar and take her temperature. Yay! Puppies! My shepherd just had 6 two weeks ago. Good luck!

verify she has a private, sparkling place to have her toddlers, she'll be a mom at present. WATCH her heavily and take her to the vet till now the day is over if she does not have domestic dogs by potential of then.like the final person stated, get her spayed as quickly because of fact the doggy's are weaned. the international does not choose to any extent further domestic dogs. Make it a factor to flow on your community animal safeguard and ask what number domestic dogs and grownup dogs's are killed on a daily basis in this united states of america because of fact people are not beibg to blame puppy vendors.I rescue those undesirable dogs's that are thrown out on the line far too frequently. Please do your section and don't enable her have yet another doggy after this. sturdy success to you all and WATCH that mom, she gets into situation in a rush.

Hours, not days.

Watch her for restlessness, secretiveness, and nesting behaviors (one of my dogs wasn't watched closely enough and delivered her first of four puppies in secret!)

Good luck!
