Is this person a wuss or does this count as emotional abuse?

if you come home everday and the 1st thing you do is start yelling at every1 about the house and i don't mean normal yelling like all parents do when they get mad......i mean this anger REALLY scares the **** out of little kids and even adults (even old ppl way older than the yeller) (& slapping the kid when they were 6 mnths old).........is it normal for the kid to hate their dad then? even if the family is so ununderstanding and gives her shi about it?

Abuse is tricky. Some families yell all the time and it's not considered abuse because that's just what they do. But it can also be abusive.

I think the thing that's important to look at is - how is it received? If it is scaring or intimidating others its not working and would be best for this behavior to stop.

You asked if it's normal for the child to hate the parent if the parent yells all the time. Well, let me ask you - if a stranger was screaming at you all the time would you hate them? Probably.

Unfortunately, in families we sometimes take the others from granted and treat people badly.

If this is happening to you, find a healthy way to get your anger out - run, punch pillows, talk it out, journal and find someone you trust to work through things.

Don't take this problem on as your own if you're the one he's yelling at. This is his stuff and not yours. Find a way to work through it so you don't have to carry his baggage around with you throughout your life.

I have seen a couple of questions you have posted. Hopefully you are not doing any of these as a joke. If you truly are going through the emotional trauma you are suggesting in some of your previous questions, you really need to get into contact with a school counseler, this will definatly have and effect on your future. I don't think any child should have to go through emotional or psychial or verbal abuse.
