ok do guys try to show off when they like you because this guy i'm crushin on who used to get bad grades in LA and now he's working harder. Today I got a 109 on a test and he got an 84 and started showing off and braggin in a flirty way methinx but not sure. But at the same time he makes fun of me-like I walked into class today and he was like "hehe ur stupid" ovr and ovr again and then he starts talkin to me a couple minutes later. He also tried to help me on my quiz which I think he was thrying to show how he was doin his hw and was "smarter than I thought."

well I REALLLY like this guy and I've never liked anyone more! we are like complete opposites. But he does this all the time. He's rude kinda and then he keeps talking to me. Plus all the people that sit around us are mostly my friends(both guys and girls) and they all hate him.They tease him sumtimes and I kinda stay neutral and he asks me to "help" sometimes. It's complicated. He's a mixed up weirdo! LOL but i luv him. what are some signs guys show if they like you?? (note: he is a desi, like me, and he is kinda shy sometimes)
and sometimes he's 2-faced if ya no wat i mean. In the halls he never says a word to me even when I say "hi" but in class i can't make him shut up even if I wanted him to. Is that just because of his "ego?" And if so, what do I do? I'm kinda shy when it comes to straight out askin the kid out, but lemme know any suggestions!!

Lol, you're not pitiful! Guys are very... INTENSE beings who don't like to be figured out, but, we girls try and do it anyway. Here's the deal (in my experiences, anyway), guys have egos the size of the sun!!! We girls are gentle beings (in most cases) and are sort of passive, where guys NEED to be on top. They NEED to know they're better than you (even if they're not). They're trying to find something, and knowing they're better and that people are worse than them in their mistakes makes them feel a small sense of justice that they are good, better than you. We ALL like to be better than someone else, right? It's how the human reacts. Well, sounds like this guy wants it all: good grades, a girl, his little friends laughing at you because he told them to...
On the other hand, he might like you. He might be acting funny because he just doesn't know what to DO with you. Here's the breakdown of how to get him to stop: Boys HATE it when girls have "inner secrets" or "secret emotions". We don't know that we're doing it, but we're keeping everything secret in our surreal calmness. Why? Because we're GIRLS. Guys like the truth. They just like to know what's going on. So, if you say in a very serious voice, "Hey, can you stop making fun of me? It's... sort of gotten me thinking weird thoughts about you." He will TOTALLY catch your drift, or, continue to annoy you.
Chances are, he's doing this either to impress you or impress he little friends by annoying a smarty in the class to prove that he can wail on the smart kid. When he talks to you, go ahead, IGNORE him. He'll leave you alone if you banish him.

well, guys are like that and they will be always like that.... they seek attention of the girls..... but what problem have u got? u never told that. u mind his seeking attention and want to get rid of it, or are u unsure what to do? if u mind his attitude, it's better that u tell him so directly on the face. most guys will step back. when u do that.... and if u are unsure what to do. if u think that u like him, u can continue talking to him and explore his nature. is he worth having a relationship (maybe of any kind), if you don't then u can tell him outright. and in some cases, u may feel that he is good guy to talk with but want to maintain a status quo. in that case u can let this thing be known to the guy so that he doesn't pin up high hopes from ur talks, otherwise it will be difficult for both of you to withdraw at a later stage
