I have a mildly swollen lymph node on my upper neck, right under my right ear. It's been that way now for about six months. I also have a fingernail fungus, which has been giving me problems (depsite my efforts to cure it with topical treatments) for the past couple of years. Is it possible that the swollen lymph gland and the nail fungus are related?

These two issues being related....well anything is possible but if the nail thing has been going on for 2 yrs and the lymph node for 6 months...I would guess they are not related. I have kinda the same thing...only I have multiple lymph nodes swollen all over my body and have been for a year and a half. I have had some of them biopsied because if they are not painful and remain enlarged for a long period of time it could be a sign on cancer/lymphoma. Mine came back ok and the doctors do not know what is going on. My advise to you is go to the doctor and get it checked out!!!!!

I doubt that they are related but consult with a doctor. The swollen gland is from a virus and it could take awhile to go away but 6 months seems like a very long time.
