My hair is so flat and un-managable lately. I got it trimmed the other day, but I'm beginning to think I should switch shampoo/conditoner. Does anyone have any suggestions? I think I want something that removes build-up, because I think that's the problem I'm having. Does anyone have any favorites?

Neutrogena has a great product line, their shampoo will remove the build up.

I was too slow to recommend this one, but it is the best. I was slow cause I checked the spelling of the brand.

Frederic Fekkai makes an apple cider shampoo and conditioner that removes bulidup from styling products and environmental impurities. I personally suggest using it once a week to be safe, even if it says it doesn't strip the hair. Also, I heard using a cheap shampoo like herbal essenses will take away bulid-up, but like I said before use only once a week because you don't want to make your hair brittle.

A great place to go for hair advice is makeupalley.com...they have a Hair advice message board. You can resgister for free.

To answer your question, I believe Neutrogena has a special shampoo and conditioner set to remove residue. It's also helpful to switch shampoos periodically so your hair doesn't get to used to the same product.

Try using a clarifying shampoo like Neutrigona every 5 or 6 washes if you use a lot of product. It works wonders on my hair!

The best shampoo in the world is Creme of Nature's Conditioning Shampoo. It works on all hair types and all ethnicities. Don't believe me try it, and if you don't like it I'll refund you your money. (a max of $3.99)

I recently switched to Dove and it's great. DO NOT USE PAUL MITCHELL...that was an awful experience. I bought it right before my wedding because I thought it was supposed to be good stuff. I used it and my hair had so much static that it was trying to stick to the side of my face...but yeah, Dove's good.
