You can't be that tight if you turned the gas on in the first place. Tight and smart would be, borrowing some bacon and cooking the bacon over an open fire.

I couldn't possibly do that, my bacon has to be cripsy don't care how much gas it would cost me. I do turn the shower switch off though while my partner is in the middle of having a shower - need to save the water

Not that tight, but I do get annoyed if my family stands in front of the fridge with the door open very long. You just might have an obsession, I don't know!

Yes...we have a fork in the sugar bowl...tea bags are hung out to dry next to the toilet roll..and the number of times i've been hit on the back of the head bending down to pick up coins

The irony here is it takes more gas to turn the burner back on and reheating to cooking temperatures then leaving it one when you turn the bacon.

Not me, but in my country, some cheap buttholes turn off the ignition while waiting for the traffic signal to go green.
