that if it were possible to take a pin's head sample of the sun to earth, no living thing could live within a hundred mile radius of it? It was one of the reasons I began to believe in God. Evolution cannot give me a logical explanation as to what started it and what sustains it.

U98, that was funny! I do have a problem with science and math, and i should have said Big Bang Theory.

Well if you are looking at biology and evolution theory to deal with astrophysics no wonder you were confused.
I love it when you people post that you chose to believe in God because you have a hard time with sciences and maths.

"Evolution cannot give me a logical explanation as to what started it and what sustains it."
Yeah... that's because the theory evolution has nothing to do with the sun. Why don't you try physics, find a completely reasonable and scientific explanation there (which you will, as long as you can understand it) and then come back.
You realize how ridiculous this is? It's like me saying I started to believe in god because the laws of gravity don't explain how my toaster works.
Edit: Mark, don't you get it? It's not that we're here because the conditions are perfect, it's the conditions were perfect, so here we are. If they weren't perfect, you wouldn't be here to marvel at how they were almost perfect. It's like... setting a random number generator to give you a number between on and a trillion, then being amazed at the number it picks. Yeah, the odds one in a trillion that that number would come up, but it had to pick *something* didn't it? The universe is an infinite place, it's not that astounding that somewhere in it, conditions were right for life to form.

First of all, I don't know what grade you stopped liking science class, but the example you gave has absolutely nothing to do with accretion of gas and dust into stars, a process which we can watch going on today across the entire cosmos without any God standing there rolling it up into a ball.
How is "I have no explanation, so magic must have happened" a logical explanation? Throughout history every time we encounter something we don't understand, the intellectually lazy among us say "it's magic." Others start digging and find out. People used to say that God sent angels to open flowers every morning and close them each night. "I don't understand the mechanism so it must be magic." But those of us with curiosity went looking for answers and found them. Today we have quantum physics, string theory, m-brane theory. People like you saw people fall ill in Jesus' time and said "he hath a demon." Pasteur and others said, I wonder why that's happening? Today we have antibiotics and a relatively safe food supply because someone did not take "it must be demons" for an answer.
Today in Africa even some government leaders blame AIDS on witchcraft. Is that the company you want to keep? Because if we all thought like you're thinking now, we'd still be living in the Dark Ages with an average life expectancy of less than 30.

If every thing was out of since by a mere few degrees. The sun, moon to close or to far by even a few extra feet chances are we wouldn't be here. When you consider every thing going against the probabilities of us being here, it would leave every one speechless. Lets consider some of the improbabilities of why were still here. 1-the earths' shield protects us from ultra Violet rays. 2-The earths atmosphere burns up meteorites before hitting the ground starting forest fires and hitting us. 3-Yellow Stone national park is the largest volcano in existence and has almost exploded once. The volcano is larger than the park. How many of you new that? The volcano is able to explode with out notice and will destroy land for hundreds of miles while blocking out the sun.3-An asteroid suspected of killing the dinosaurs and destroying most of the earth hasn't happened for over a hundred thousand of years. There is one on the way and they don't know what to do about it.Should I continue!

What? How does that make you believe in God? Evolution explains everything except the first particle of dust/energy. It explains how things are sustained, some not so well. But I do think there is a creator that set things in motion maybe. It doesn't meant that it's the Judeo-Christian God though.

More than a pin's head of solar samples fall on the Earth's surface and water every other second.
You say that "Evolution cannot give me a logical explanation as to what started it and what sustains it."
Can religion provide you with a LOGICAL explanation?

good . if you really want to look for science that supports the fact that god is real . you just have to read and meet real science people. in my church are two professors i wont name them but there are both order of Canada people and one has a noble prize . we often have one of them speak in church . i don't hardly know of a medical doctor that is not a christian .
the people who come on here and say scientist say this and that is proof that god is not real are i think people who don't read or know any real scientist. now granted faith is much greater then knowledge and faith without seeing is best.
i am glad you have started on the right road. . remember there will be many things and people and demons that will attempt to get you to not believe that is what this war is all about . thanks for coming to the side of love. peace be with you .

Stars are being constantly formed in the universe, even as we speak. It's a nuclear reaction and happens trillions, yes trillions of times in the universe
Apparently you haven't read enough science magazines

we could not even contain a drop of the sun look at the earth alone a few millimeters we would freeze or burn up rotating on a perfect axis so the food chain could live or take the mixture of nitoagen and oxygen it doesnt happen on anyother planet that way so if there is a desighn there is a desighner if there is a plan a planner and if there is a mircle the
