Some Trinitarians label the United Pentecostal Church a "cult" because they don't profess a traditional belief in the Trinity.

I would not go as far as to call it a cult, but they do have some beliefs I do not find Biblical in context. Such as; 1- You have to speak in tongues to be saved. This contradicts with what Paul said in 1 Corinthians 12; 10 ..."and another [meaning not all] divers kinds of tongues." He went on to say in chapter 14 and verse 22 that tongues were a sign to them that did NOT believe. This is the purpose of tongues, also if you will go back and look at the accounts of people being filled with the Holy Spirit in Acts you will see that everytime it mentions someone speaking in tongues that it mentions unbelievers present, and everytime it mentions someone being filled and does not mention tongues there is no mention of unbelievers. 1 Corinthians 12 ; 30 say's "Have all the gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret?" Who was he speaking to here, the unbelivers? No, impossible, he was speaking to christians saying there is one Spirit, but many gifts, not all christians even those baptized in the Holy Ghost speak in tongues, but they are still christians, and still saved. This is my biggest problem with UPC though I could name some more such as baptism in "Jesus" proper name, not "Son", this is not that I feel Peter contradicted that Jesus said in the gospels, when he stated in Acts. However, there were Jews present who would have no problem baptizing in the Son's name, because they believe God, but they didn't believe Jesus was God, this is why Peter was emphisizing "Jesus". My personal opinion based solely on Biblical perspectives in CONTEXT. Those are 2 big problems with UPC, all churches have problems, the thing that makes it so big with UPC is that they make it a salvation, Heaven/Hell issue. There is no 3 step program to being saved, what about the theif on the cross whom Jesus said would join Him in paradise? All one has to do is repent. Also you said you seen where in the Bible where it say's for a woman to dress like a woman, they use the verse under the laws od the levitical priesthood for that, but have you ever heard them preach on the one about 4 or 5 verses after that that say's men ought not wear shirts with mixed threads? Such as 50%cotton and 50% polester? Many times the preacher preaching that is violating the same laws. The only scripture I believe relavant for womens apparel for today is where it says to dress modestly. Also THERE IS NO SCRIPTURE THAT SAY"S KEEP SHAVEN if you are a man, the closest one is also under the laws of the Levitical priesthood that say's not to mar the corners of your beard. That is as Pharoh. you would have found also that Jesus had a beard because it was pulled from his face when they were beating him prior to the cruxifiction.

Might be helpful if you explain what exactly UPC is. Also, if you are saying the Bible says something, please quote chapter and verse, it will give you more credibility.
