I was baptized at age 9...did the heaven's rejoice then or did they not because they knew that I would reject Jesus when I turned 23?

I actually begged to be baptized...my father said no but he eventually said yes because I was so sincere...

The reason why I rejected Christianity is because I had compassion for "the people going to hell." As a child I drilled my pastor with questions and I read the bible and they all let me down...

I guess I shouldn't say that I rejected Jesus, but by the book I have and Christians will remind me every waking hour. Maybe it's the Christians that reject Jesus...if they don't have compassion for "the people going to hell" then they are rejecting Jesus...

Jesus told his disciples to read the book of Jonah. I can see what he meant, it's like the Christians are Jonah who are sent to spread the word of God. But in the end they are eagerly waiting for this person and that person to burn in hell, they are expecting with all their hearts. If Jesus told them that "the people who are going to hell" are saved, what will the Christians say?

plenty of people use their free will to decide to reject religion. if god has a plan for all of us, then it stands to reason that his plan for some is to play the skeptics in a world full of believers. the problem comes when he turns around and sends them to hell for doing what he knew they would.

You may have only been doing what you thought you should do when you were 9.
At some point in your life though, you had to make a choice, THE choice. That happens to all of us.
You chose not to accept Christ.
What influenced you? Was it really Him, or was it what you saw in the church?
Anything man touches you know can become corrupted. Should we judge Him by His Bride?

To answer your question, I think they're still waiting for you.

'They' knew that u would reject christianity at 23 ( which is really a shame because around that age, u really need God). i dont thinkthey rejoiced because i get the feeling u only got baptized because of your parents or whatever. i hope u didnt reject Jesus because of some stupid reason like ' my prayers aint being answered' or ' a family member or pal died'. i really find your name offensive because im christian, if u think christianity is corrupted, keep it to urself and not to stir up something against us. what exactly happened that u would reject Jesus anyway?

You can reject Him a billion times until the day when you can reject Him no more.

Destiny is a crutch used as an excuse by the spiritually lazy.

You can tread water hoping for the current of "destiny" to deposit you someplace pleasant or you can start swimming for the distant shore of your choice.

You were not destined to reject Christianity. Like all humans, we are destined to make a choice.
Your choice was to reject Christ.

But the larger question is this:
You speak of Christianity, and you speak of Christ.
Did you reject the church, or have you rejected Jesus.
(It can be a huge difference)

Sweetheart, are you sure that you are not confusing Church with Jesus?

It would be sad if you blamed Jesus for the corruption of the Church.

Jesus is not reposnsible for what the church does or proclaims in his name. If you rejected Jesus, you have done a sad thing. If you rejected the church abusing his legacy and name, join the club! And well done.

No one knows where you will really end up, only God does. You have rejected Christ and I would have without his intervention. That's not much of a difference, is it? Don't think for a minute that either of us deserve heaven.

Too early to tell. Some day it may be too late, another day you may be at the end of your rope and look up to see who's holding it. Only time will tell.

You rejected Him earlier than that by the way you lived. People leave the church because of sin, not because of doctrinal disputes.

You can test this theory by changing your mind several times.

If you find that you're incapable of changing your mind, you've lost control and you qualify as either a mind-numbed animal or a brain-washed liberal.

The rest of us know how to think for ourselves.
