Unfortunately you cannot stop this process. When your skin gets burned from excessive sun exposure it first turns brown (tan) thats the first sign of damage, then it turns red.....then you know your burned.....and its natural for your skin to shed this outer layer of burned dead skin in order to replace it ......sorry about that....but aloe vera is a good natural substance which is proven to help heal burns faster.......good luck

The peeling is part of the healing process, just like a scab. That skin is dead and has to come off. Aloe vera can be applied to make the process easier but the peeling is an unfortunate necessity

You can't stop yourself from peeling after a sunburn but you can apply lotion to the affected areas to make them less noticeable.
