This recipe is AWESOME!!! I used FF cream cheese and sugar-free maple syrup instead of the maple flavor. Try it with a heart-healthy whole grain carrot cake; it's delish!

1 (8 ounce) package reduced-fat cream cheese
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 drop imitation maple flavor
1/2 cup no calorie Splenda granular
1/2 cup powdered sugar

Place frosting ingredients in a mixing bowl.
Mix on medium speed until well blended

1 3/4 cups milk
1 (8 ounce) package fat free cream cheese
1 (8 ounce) container lite frozen whipped topping, thawed

1 package (8 oz.) of Cream Cheese
1 tbsp of Vanilla Extract
4 packages of Splenda brand sweetner

Directions: Mix all ingredients in mixing bowl and mash together mixing well. May heat in microwave for 30 sec for
more effective mixing. Spread on cake.

if you want more of a whipped cream icing.... use an electric mixer and use a small carton of heavy cream, blend on medium until stiff and add about 4 packets of splenda

Depends on what you want to use it for. How about experimenting with potato flour, or cornflour and sugar substitute? I reckon you might be able to make a reasonable fondant icing this way. Would cream cheese icing be acceptable using a sugar substitute? Submit some further information for consideration please. Thanks.
