Where did you see that that is true? Could you provide a reference please? I wasn't aware that this assumption could be made.
Thanks.

First of all there are christian socialists. I imagine there are even some christian communists. Neither "hate" Jesus. As far as churches go, Marx said "religion is the opium of the masses". What he meant by this was religion keeps people quiet. They are told that their lot in life is "god's will" so they dont revolt. This is true of other religions, not just christianity. The promise of an after life makes putting up with a lot of crap here easier as you will be rewarded in the afterlife.
I do not agree with the suppression of religion, which communist countries have shown is not successful. But I do think that people need to think about living in the now, rather than living for something that isnt going to happen. Even if there were a heaven, justice and equality should be here and now.

I dont know about socialists, but communists are not afraid of Jesus Christ. They are just afraid of the people in that religion right now. Vietnam is a communist country but they are split religion. Their main religions are Buddhist and Catholic. They are one of the 4 last countries left with communism and who have not let Pope John Paul in. Those 4 countries were Korea (I dont know if it was north or south or both), Vietnam, Cuba, and China (if i can remember correctly). And all of them are communist countries. As far as the other countries, I dont know their main religion, but I would think Cuba might be of Catholics because they are Spanish, but I didnt look it up so I dont know for sure. But, I think it is because Communists are afraid of losing their power and so there fore they do not allow the figures of power to step foot on the land. They might end up losing their communist power just like the Solviet Union.

Gee, carl. Are Communists and Socialists a big concern to you? Where do you live, Cuba? Probably you're trying to be cute about liberals and Democrats, which you people tend to confuse with "commies" just like you confuse mythology with history.
Thanks for defending Jesus - he appreciates it - but Communism and Socialism aren't real keen on any religions, being atheist. So in the interest of democracy (which isn't the same as the Democratic Party btw) I think you ought to post several more questions in defense of all the other major world religions.

...Allegiance to anything but the state is intolerable to both of these groups. They want the state to be worshipped and not Jesus Christ. Christianity offers hope and a purpose in life to those in the worst of circumstances and those in power don't want this either - the commies and the socialists want slaves to the state - isn't is funny, though, that in a Communist land everyone is supposed to be equal, you always have the ruling elite, the ruling class, and they are living better than the average "Joe Citizen" (probably one reason the former government was ousted, was to rid them of ruling elites).

religion in general, not just christianity, was called the opiate of the masses by karl marx, the founder of communism. both ideas of government were formed by people who were raised jewish. it is not so much that there was a hatred for jesus, as both economic ideas warned against the idea of a national religion. it wasn't that they were attacking anyones right to a personal belief system, they just didn't think that religious beliefs should have any place in politics. it is also important to note that neither system had a place for a ruling class, so those countries whose dictators claim to be leaders of communist and socialist countries are ignoring one of the basic tenets of those economic systems.

1) That's a stupid generalisation
2) Communism is atheist in doctrine and is against all organised religions
3) Several Communist and Socialist leaders have been Christians
4) It's not Jesus' church. Jesus was Jewish.

this is greater of a complication-free humorous tale than being severe. Willingly giving to charity isn't the comparable factor by way of fact the government forcefully taking it from you. frequently he wished all and sundry to help the adverse and others in complication notably else. the specific circumstances you're speaking approximately are way out of context and not real in any respect. He did no longer hate prosperous, disallow distributors in church, nor does he choose for all people to sell each little thing they have. those have been approximately different concerns completely.

It might have something to do with the big con game organized religion is. After all, throughout history, the Church has consistently conspired with the ruling powers of the day to keep the poor downtrodden and submissive.

Christianity is essentially a religion and faith of western civilization and enlightenment. At it's foundation is freedom. Communism and socialism are anything but freedom. They confine individual freedoms to prison. To them, the state is supreme, not the individual. The individual is to worship the state and its ideals. No personal beliefs allowed.
