Does anyone knows about a program that can help people with poor credit buy a house. I live in Connecticut. Does any one knows about a grant program.

Even with grant programs, banks want to see scores over 620.

I would suggest working on building your credit score or looking into buying on land contract.

There are some out there but it is a big rip off. You will pay very high interest. It would be best for you to repair your credit save up a good down payment first.

Homes for humanities lets you have a home if you help build it and paint it with them, you might check into it, it is very low cost to the owner

try lending tree they are very helpful with people that have bad credit.
