The irs is holding my 2006 refund until I file my 2005 The IRS said they mailed them out on 2/08/2007 I have not received the w2s them is their any other way to receive my w2s? Will Social Security have the copys?

as u can see its been a month for the irs to mail and the employers are all out of business any other ideas?

Call the IRS at 1-800-829-1040, they can provide you with transcripts of your W2 information and have it mailed to you in 7 to 10 days, or by fax if you have access to a fax machine.


or Check with your employers that you worked for in 2005

Social security wouldn't have ther W-2's. If your former employer is out of business, you're probably stuck with waiting for the IRS. If it's been that long, I'd give them another call. Good luck.

Ask the IRS to send you a copy of your 2005 tax return. It will cost a few bucks, but it's worth it.

Your previous employer(s) may be able to re-issue you your w-2's. They may charge you a fee for a re-issue.
