The age range says 2 - 5. My daughter will be 21 months when I want to start using it , will it be alright? We won't be going long distances, only to the bus stop and in a couple of shops and stuff.

Also does the Lascal buggy board provide anything to hold onto apart from the frame of the pram?

In case you were going to say anything yes I know a double buggy would be better in an ideal world but I use a lot of buses and I never walk anywhere far.

As you will be standing directly behind her when using the board, i do not think that there is a massive risk.
just stay aware (as you undoubtably are every minute with her!)
I have used a board for ages (from when oldest was under two) and never any problems. Gives the child a sense of independence without really having it!!
Just bear in mind that if you stray too far and child gets tired you may end up carrying her!
good luck and happy travels

I have a buggy board and it basically is a platform that attaches to the bottom of the frame of your pram. Whether or not your daughter is ready to use it at 21 months really depends on her character and whether she will stay stood on it or will try to run off. There is nothing else to hold onto apart from the pram. Also the design of your pram can make a difference on how easy it is to use. It is more difficult to push a pram with a buggy board on, but I still would have one again just for the convenience.

What I would do, personally, is to keep your daughter in the pushchair for the moment and carry the baby around in a sling. You can have the buggy board on the pram, hooked up out of the way. If the baby gets too heavy, then put the baby in the pram and try your daughter on the buggy board.

You may have a baby that wants to be held and would be happier in a sling anyway. I've lost count of the times I've seen a dad pushing an empty pram and the mum carrying the baby.

I have the lascal buggy board fitted to my mama's and pama's travel system, yes they are ok (ish)...do as they say but I kick mine all the time whilst trying to walk and the child has to hold onto the pram for support...they are very safe and I do think they are a good thing to have especially with a toddler and a baby...one major draw back is that if you need to fold the pram down you have to go through the whole routine of taking the board off the connector, struggling with kids and they are quite heavy and bulky. The pram also becoms totally different to push...mind you the good plus is that they hold their value for resale.

practice in the house and/or garden and see if you feel that she is ok to use the buggy board, if so then go ahead unfortunatly there isn't a handle for the buggy board just the pram to hold on to, i have one with two platforms so if my child gets tired he can sit instead of stand and i also have reigns on him wich we sometimes put arround the handles of the buggy as it partly acts a bit like a seat belt

I considered getting one but decided safety wise I didn't want to risk injury to my son, and damage the pram/pushchairs frame (they invalidate the warranty on the pushchair/pram), so I opted for a tandem pushchair instead.

Keeps the boys safe, and me/wife with one less thing to worry about.
