you can spend loads - but there's no need till your up to past 150 bhp and silly revs...

i had a pinto and blue printed it... - had the crank dynamically ballanced so it would rev like a nut... The rods and all pins etc all weight matched, some real nice quality lead copper bearings. set of mahle forged pistons, sierra inj cam and a single weber 45. It went from 98 bhp to 131 bhp on the rollers ! I spent less than a grand on the full rebuild. It's better to get reliability first. You don't need crmo h beam conrods and a cosworth crank unless you're turboing it or using nitrous or something... besides - your crappy type 9 gearbox won't take it !

There are many sources. Just Google Pinto Racing Parts.
The 2 liter engine is used in dirt track racing and is a popular conversion for VW dune buggies.

I agree it would properly be the Bendix or the solenoid "starter relay" I easily have a 1984 ford f150 and it did not commence cranking via itself yet I easily have had the solenoid get stuck on the start position ensuing in nonstop cranking and finally it burned the began earlier i ought to get the nice and cozy submit off the battery
