You probably don't like Him very much because you don't understand your need for Him.

The Bible tells us that "No one does good, no not one." You can't compare yourself to other people who do worse things than you do; you have to see yourself as God sees you. God will judge each of us according to His laws - not ours. If you have ever told a lie, you are a liar. If you have ever taken something without permission, you are a thief. If you have ever been angry at someone without cause, you are a murderer at heart. Try taking the Good Person Test; it will show you that indeed none of us are good. If God is just, He must punish all lawbreakers.

Jesus (born of a virgin, fully man AND full God), came to the world to take the punishment that should have been ours. He paid for our sins with His blood. When we realize what an incredibly kind thing this was for him to do, we should turn from our sin and accept his gift of eternal forgiveness. Tell God that you are sorry for breaking His laws, turn from your sin, and read the Bible every day (I suggest starting with the Book of John). Don't just believe, but put your faith in Jesus. God will make you a new creature with new desires. That's how you get into heaven.

I will pray for you.

Jesus defeated death and hell when He rose on the third day, and those that put there trust and faith in Him alone will be saved.

He isnt looking for our good works, or out ritualistic stuff we do at church, no. He is looking for a personal relationship between you and Him. If we trust our good works to get us to heaven then Jesus's work at the cross was of no affect.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

From a Christian standpoint - No.

Faith is the key that opens the door to heaven. Many people mistake faith for just believing that God exists.Even Satan believes in God and he certainly is not going to heaven. Faith is trusting in Jesus Christ alone and what he has done for eternal life.

Belief in God is not the same thing as BELIEVING God.
The Bible says that even the fallen angels believe and tremble, but it doesn't have any effect on them apparently. They KNOW, if you think about it...and they still chose to disobey. Amazing.
You know, maybe the reason you don't like Him too much is because you really haven't taken the time to find out Who, and What He really is, get to know Him, I mean.

You don't have to imagine a world without heaven, because this is that world. There is no god, no heaven, and nothing to worry about beyond what difference you can make in the world before your time is up.

If you really believed GOD exists, then you would love him. I can't imagine what GOD did to make you not like him. You should read the Holy Bible and pray for guidance. I'm sure the one you are truely angry at is, Satan. Thank you and may GOD bless you.

No, one must confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe with their heart that God raised him from the dead....but have a repentent heart. If you believe but do not love the Lord, that is what Jesus talks about being "lip service" --being hypocritical, by saying He is lord but not living for Him. God knows the hearts of every person, and knows who He has truly saved and those whom He has saved truly LOVE Him! (See Romans 10) -Good answer Mae!! She had some great scriptures concerning this question.

no. Does you believing I exist make you my friend? no. Same with God. You have to know Him personally. And you're probably angry because of misconceptions, such as why innocent people die, or why bad things happen to good people in general. Those questions have answers, even I can answer them, but by hating God, it's harder and harder to accept the truth.....

No. Hardly!

Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
